Backend Engineer

We’re a fast-growing SaaS startup pioneering AI Facility Management. We’re looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join our newly formed team and play a critical role in building the infrastructure that underpins our groundbreaking technology.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Design, develop, and maintain highly efficient and reliable backend services for our AI solutions.
  • Wrangle diverse data sources – images, videos, sensor data – and build elegant and performant data pipelines.
  • Develop and implement APIs that seamlessly integrate with our frontend platform and external systems.
  • Champion data security and ensure robust storage, retrieval, and processing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and researchers to define and implement technical solutions.
  • Leverage cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) to build the foundation for our applications.
  • Write clean, well-documented code, maintain the code and fix Bugs.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

You’re the pixel warrior we need if you:

  • Have 1-2 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, with a thirst for building impactful systems.
  • Possess expertise in Java, Kubernetes, Azure, Unit Testing.
  • Are comfortable working with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
  • Have a grasp of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
  • Share our passion for AI and its potential to transform the world.
  • Are a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Have strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with Camunda
  • Understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts.
  • Experience with building real-time systems.
